I hope everyone has a restful Spring Break, but the PTO will come back hitting the ground running since the Fun Fair & Silent Auction is Saturday, April 25th from 2:00PM-6:00PM. The Fun Fair and Silent Auction are our largest fundraisers of the year. Our success or lack thereof will set the stage for what the PTO is able to contribute to our many events/activities/assemblies and other school causes for the 2009-2010 school year. If you haven’t donated to your child’s classroom basket, please do so by Friday, April 17th. Any item is greatly appreciated. If you don’t know what to purchase, consider sending in money and your room parent will shop for you. Once the baskets are assembled, you will be amazed at how even the small things add up to a wonderful display.
Also, PLEASE consider donating some of your time on the 25th to help staff your child’s activity. The games/activities are VERY easy to man and the kids really enjoy the games. If we don’t have enough volunteers, the PTO may have to shut down some of the games. Please do not put us in that situation. An hour of your time could keep that from happening. If you have any questions about how you can be involved at the Fun Fair & Silent Auction, please contact your room parent or classroom teacher.
I am still accepting donations for the Silent Auction-bids will be accepted from 2:00PM-6:30PM. If you have sports tickets, please consider donating some to the auction. These are usually very popular and so far we don’t have any. Tickets to a concert, play, that unused item in your storage room….if it is in good condition, please consider donating it.
